Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Crige ("the Service"), operated by Crige Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use of the Service following notification of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Description of Service

Crige is a local business directory platform that enables local businesses to create online shop pages, publish listings and offers, and be discovered by consumers searching in their area. We provide both a free Starter tier and a paid Pro subscription. We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Merchant Accounts

To list your business on Crige, you must create a merchant account using a valid email address and provide accurate information about your business. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

You represent that you are authorised to create and manage the business listing on behalf of the business entity, and that the information you provide is accurate and up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false or misleading information.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Crige to post content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable. You may not use the Service to promote illegal goods or services, to harass or impersonate other individuals or businesses, or to distribute spam or unsolicited communications.

You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, interfere with its operation, or use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the platform without our prior written consent. Violations of these terms may result in immediate account termination.

5. Listings and Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit to Crige, including your business description, photos, listings and offers. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute and promote that content on the Crige platform and in associated marketing materials.

We reserve the right to review, remove or reject any content that violates these terms or our content guidelines, without prior notice. Listings may be subject to a moderation review process before publication.

6. Payment Terms

Paid subscription plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. All payments are processed securely via Stripe. Prices are displayed in British Pounds (GBP) and are inclusive of applicable VAT where required. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will not receive a refund for the unused portion of your subscription unless required by applicable consumer law.

7. Intellectual Property

The Crige name, logo, platform design, and all associated intellectual property are owned by Crige Ltd and are protected by UK and international copyright, trademark and other laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works based on our intellectual property without our prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crige Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
